Guillermo J. Queris is an education leader, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Foundations Academies. Through the institutions he helped develop across 15 schools, Guillermo has dedicated his life to rebuilding opportunities for students who traditional systems often overlook, creating pathways focused on structure, purpose, education, and long-term transformation.
The Loss
He lost his father to violence. That wound did not break him. It became the first lesson in what happens when communities lose their men.
The Struggle
ADHD. Bipolar disorder. A 2.0 GPA. Early legal trouble. Every system he touched told him the same thing: you are not built for this.
The Turn
A son born on the autism spectrum changed everything. Suddenly, the fight was not just personal. It was generational. He went back to school, earned his M.Ed., and built something no one expected.
The Build
Seven students. Then hundreds. Then thousands. Foundations Academies grew across 11 schools in 8 years. Not because of luck. Because of a system.
